I came in to get Daniel up from his nap this afternoon to find him and his crib smeared with blood. He looked like he had a huge, bloody gouge on his face and I was a bit horrified at how this could happen during naptime.
After some cleaning and kisses and not as many tears as a serious injury might incure, we found that the bloody mess was caused by a scab that had been picked. whew.
Vincent is proving to be a very cooperative baby. He sleeps great at night. Last night we had two 4 1/2 hour periods of sleep between feedings. He's pretty happy during the day. He's been staying awake for long periods during the day; up to 3 or so hours. I can't figure this out. But he seems pretty happy and I love the long naps and night time rest. He's eating well and gaining weight and we're adjusting nicely to life with two kids.
A couple months ago I has having trouble with birds or insects eating my strawberries just as they turned red. I put some shiny foil out which seemed to keep the birds away, but now I have a toddler getting into my strawberry patch. He doesn't always wait for them to turn red.

Vincent is now 5 days old. He sleeps most of the time and cries very little when he's awake. He's been a wonderful addition to our family.
Daniel is getting to spend much more time with his dad lately. 
Daniel got to hold his baby brother for the first time the other day. It was so cute. He had this proud smile on his face and just sat there smiling and not knowing what else to do. Vincent was looking up at Daniel.
