Towel
It's a wet day today, so when Daniel asked to go play outside I told him he couldn't because it was all wet, to which he replied: "Towel" He's a problem solver! He settled for a cave in the garage.

Christmas 2007

Daniel and Darian are so affectionate with each other. They constantly hug and kiss each other and they play very well together.
This is Daniel going to bed with his music box night light that makes a light show on the ceiling and all the walls. He got it last year for Christmas from Auntie Megan but it's really become a hit now. He doesn't go to bed without it. He figured out how to crank it on himself so I can hear this little music box sound coming from his room when he wakes up in the morning or from his nap.
Vincent continues to scoot around the house. He is so strong, he does these push ups whenever he's on his tummy.
Daniel ended up straddling this same chair at this stage of mobilization. It's a dead end until he can learn to put it in drive instead of reverse.

Gymnastics
Look
I don't know where Daniel picked this up, but when I tell him to look at me when getting scolded (and today for this picture) he tilts his head way back and can just barely force his eyes to look into mine for his reprimand. He's such a comedian, unfortunately, more often than not it's when he's supposed to be doing something else.
We've had a pretty bad case of croup hit the boys this past week. There hasn't been much sleep for anyone at night lately. They've been troopers though. Vincent had to go to the ER the first night. I didn't know what croup was and he just wasn't able to breath. Who knew all you had to do is stand out in the cold... and not get any sleep!

Sitting, scooting and growing
Vincent is now 6 months old. He was a brave little man at his check-up getting shots with only the slightest cry. He weighed in at 19 pounds, 6 1/2 oz. He's 27 1/2" long.
Sitting is among Vincent's latest accomplishments. He can pretty much sit as long as he wants. But the longer he sits, the more he leans forward until after several minutes he's pretty much folded in half with his nose to the floor. He takes two naps a day, sleeps 12-13 hours usually at night, eats 2 solid meals and nurses 4-5 times a day. He's a happy, content little guy and we just love having him in our family.

Story Time

Daniel reads to Vincent before his nap. D actually sat and read with me for about 10 minutes today which is an all time record. He usually jumps out of my lap after the first page or two. I'm excited that he's showing interest in books. He looks at books by himself a lot, but now he lets me read to him, and he in turn reads to Vincent.

Nigh Night Doggy
This is Daniel tucking in his doggy. It's his latest thing. He's says, nigh night, doggy, then puts his head on the pillow and places the blanket perfectly on top of him. The funny thing to me is that Daniel doesn't sleep with his head on his pillow and he doesn't pull the blanket over himself either, but I guess he knows how it goes for everyone else.Lately, when George comes home from work, Daniel has started greeting him "Hi, Honey."
Vincent is getting better at sitting up and rolling over. He can sit for about 15-20 seconds now before doing a faceplant. He's rolling over both ways, but still not that often. He just loves this jumper though. His hair has been falling out at an alarming rate this past month or so. I think we might be turning a corner though. It may just be wishful thinking, but I think I see some short blonde shimmer underneath those few long strands.

Double Thanksgiving
We had a great Thanksgiving this year...twice. Lunch was at George's parents then dinner at Becky's parents. Two amazing meals plus dessert, spaced out perfectly so we enjoyed them both without rushing. Monday, November 19, 2007

First Meal
Vincent had his first meal two days ago. He was starting to wake up in the middle of the night and crying after feedings, so I figured it was time. It came as no surprise that he likes food. He ate about 2 Tbs of rice cereal spitting very little out. He sucked it off the spoon instead of opening his mouth. We tried the meal in the bumbo because he can't sit up yet, but I think he's too big for that, because he was folded in half by the end of the meal. I've been feeding him in my lap which works fine until he can sit up. He's got a lot of weight to support so it might take awhile. He turned 5 months yesterday. He's rolled over several times now from tummy to back, but always when I turn my back or leave the room, so I have yet to see it. He's a very happy baby who loves jumping in the jumper, he'll stay in there smiling and talking for more than an hour at a time. He sleeps usually 12 hours at night. Daniel makes him smile. His hair is falling out, it's much thinner than it was a couple months ago. He is an absolute joy.
The Ocean and Costumes
We went to Half Moon Bay and Pacifica last weekend. It was the first time Daniel has actually played at the beach. He had fun chasing the waves and playing in the sand.

We got to meet the new cousin this weekend. My brave sister, Nikki drove up with her two kiddies. Little Devyn is so cute and super tiny. We were so glad to meet her. Darian looks like she's enjoying big sisterhood and Daniel gave the new baby hugs and kisses too, it was so sweet.

Daniel walks out of his room the other morning with Mr. Potatoe Head's glasses on and this serious look on his face like this is just how things are supposed to be.He loves Mr. Potatoe Head.

Vincent just tried out this jumper and loves it. It's nice having someplace to stick him where he's doing something besides just lying there.
Vincent was laying on the living room floor and Daniel decided to help him roll over. Back and forth, back and forth, Daniel kept rolling him and rolling him, trying to teach him a new trick. Vincent is catching on and has rolled over a few times by himself... I think. He does it when I'm not looking.
