A Perfect Square

This is how we do a 5 year check up...with varied expressions. Vincent has been really into color coordination lately, this time it's orange, sometimes it's red, other days it's all blue. Impressive.
At five years old, Vincent is a perfect square. He weighs 43 pounds, and he's 43" tall.

My little thumb sucker, and his little bear. I'm trying to get him to stop, his overbite is getting more and more pronounced, but he just loves sucking that thumb...and his "wittle beaw." (All "r's" are still "w's" for Vincent and Gavin. I love this and will be sad when it ends.

Fencing

The boys helped their dad and Kieth build the last section of fence. Gavin was especially into the project, carrying around a hammer following his daddy all week and calling himself Bob the Builder.

Preschool Promotion

Vincent with Ms. Grace and Ms. Sharon. We are really going to miss these awesome teachers.
Vincent shows daddy the work he's done in school this year.

There were a few tears as we all said goodbye

Vincent gets his diploma

My cooperative boy stopped for a really long time looking right at me so I could get a picture of him just like Ms. Sharon told him to before walking on stage.

The kids sang "This Land is Your Land, This Land is My Land." and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" in English and Spanish.
Since Vincent finished school a week earlier than Daniel and he's already graduated, we have two kindergarteners for a week. hee hee.

Bowling Party

Awesome Form
He got a strike. He won the game. Now he's getting a little competitive streak.
Daniel's little buddy, Kaelyn, celebrated her 6th birthday with a bowling party. Most of these kids were classmates this year. We hope to get most of our class back for first grade, but it sounds unlikely that they will keep the kids together. Kaelyn had a big crush on Daniel all year which was really cute.

Ice Cream Rest Stop

On our way home, we stopped at a favorite fun place off the 99. It was hot, so ice cream was a welcome treat as the boys rode the covered wagon.

Wrapping up the school year

Daniel in his last couple weeks of kindergarten enjoying the sunny day.
Kindergarten class leaving for the zoo!!

Vincent had his first dentist appointment getting ready for kindergarten. He did great, no cavities and very brave. Also, he looked awesome in his special glasses. The boys were super excited about the goodies they got to bring home, balloons, new toothbrushes and their very own travel toothpaste. So exciting.
Vincent treated me to a sweet Mother's Day Tea at his preschool. So special to spend this time with my sweet boy.
