Poster Child

Vincent is the poster child for our city this summer. He's on the cover of the rec guide which they also made into a poster at the library. 

Grandma Willie

George's Grandma Willie Mae passed away on May 15th. She laid down for a nap and passed in her sleep. She was in good health, still driving and staying busy. She was 86 years old and will be dearly missed by those she loved and who loved her. Grandma Willie was very generous, always sharing her home with those in need. She was a lively spirit and cared deeply for her family. She had 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.

Mt. Diablo Mother's Day

We went for a quick, overnight camping trip to Mt. Diablo for Mother's Day. The boys had fun climbing the trees and rocks. I had fun watching them. Gavin usually hangs out on the ground for these types of things, but this weekend he was 10 feet up in a tree with his big brothers. 

Daniel climbs every tree he can, even on the way to school. He's pretty fearless and now his brothers are following him wherever he climbs. I love that he was climbing barefoot.

Mouse Buddies

Vincent was class leader, so he got to bring home a cool backpack with these buddies inside. He was so excited about it. He's almost done with preschool and so ready to start kindergarten. He really looks up to his brother and copies most of what Daniel does. If Daniel wants Cheerios in the morning, that's what Vincent wants too. He stops and asks Daniel what he did or wants to do before making a decision on many things. I wonder if this will continue once V starts school. It fun to watch how our three boys interact and get along with each other. They're good playmates.

Walk-a-thon

Vincent's preschool had a walk-a-thon. They were pumped. The little girl in front of him stopped several times to do one-handed push-ups during the event. So cute.

Gavin helped me distribute water to the athletes.

Sprouting Seeds

The garden is coming along.  Seeds are sprouting, seedlings are transplanted, potatoes are looking good. Our Square Foot Garden is on it's way.
