We just got back from a trip to Bemidji, MN. It's the home of Paul Bunyan and his blue ox, Babe. It's also the first city on the mighty Mississippi. Daniel is seen here next to Paul Bunyan.

We went to the Beltrami County Fair and Daniel got to ride on the motorcycle ride with his friends Bjorn and Leif. It ended much like the ride on his dad's motorcycle, in tears. At least he got to ride more than once.

love the videos becky...did you guys go visit josh winters? i could never forget a town called bemidji. oddly enough we were reading a story from our language arts books and the boy was from bemidji. i had to laugh, though my students didn't understand why. hee hee. ~rebekah
