It's almost 11pm, we just got back to our "party room". Vincent came through surgery fine. He got tubes put behind both ears to drain and had a mastoidectomy behind his right ear. He's got a big bandage wrapped around his head right now and he's sitting quietly in daddy's lap watching TV and sucking his thumb. He just got to sip some water for the first time in over 24 hours.
Vincent has a great Dr. working on him, we've heard several good things about him. So we're thankful that he is in good hands. Of course, ultimately we are in God's hands and we trust that He will see us through this.
Before he went into surgery, Vincent was perky; charming everyone in the waiting room with his playful smiles. Hopefully we'll see some of that tomorrow after a good nights rest.

Thanks Becky for updating! Got up early this am to see if i could find out anything. I will be praying before going back to bed. My sis in law sent me this verse and I thought i would pass it on.
"My soul, wait in silence for God only,
For my hope is in Him.
He only is my rock and my salvation,
My stronghold; I shall not be shaken.
On God my salvation and my glory rest;
The rock of my strength, my refuge is in God.
Trust in Him at all times, O people;
Pour out you heart before Him;
God is a refuge for us."
~Psalm 62:5-8
glad the surgery went well. Someone needs to bring you your camera! I want to see pics of the little guy in his hospital gown. Those are so cute. And with his blond, wavy hair... or he's too cute.
So glad to hear the surgery went well. We will continue to pray for his recovery. Thanks for taking the time to update his story - witnessing to those who read it and letting others see God's strength in such a hard time.
